Greyhounds Add Center Hill's Kimmons
Adding their second recruit for the 2018-19 season, the Greyhounds have signed All-Region guard Brien Kimmons from Center Hill High School (MS) to an NJCAA Letter of Intent and Scholarship Agreement.
Adding their second recruit for the 2018-19 season, the Greyhounds have signed All-Region guard Brien Kimmons from Center Hill High School (MS) to an NJCAA Letter of Intent and Scholarship Agreement.
Kimmons (5'8", 150 lbs.) led the Mustangs to a 22-9 record and a trip to the 5A State Tournament second round for Head Coach Newton Mealer. Kimmons led the Mustangs in scoring, averaging 19.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 51% from the field, 34% from the three-point line and 78% from the free throw line.
He earned All-Conference honors as both a junior and senior and was named a Memphis Commercial-Appeal Best of the Preps selection as both a junior and senior. Kimmons finished his career in the Center Hill High School 1,000-Point Club, finishing with 1,101 points in four seasons.
He joins Jai Peters (6'0", 160 lbs.) from Benton, Arkansas, as a freshman for the Greyhounds in 2018-19.
