Holding a 44-30 lead at the half, the Greyhounds gave up 54 points while turning the ball over 14 of 23 times in the second half. The Indians helped themselves, particularly down the stretch, from the free throw line by going 27-of-34. ASU Mid-South held a 44-31 rebounding edge and went 23-for-30 at the free throw line, but 40% shooting and a dismal 24% performance from the three-point line sealed the Greyhounds fate.
Jalen Lynn led the Greyhounds with 16 points, Jalen Sasser had 12, Zach Byrd scored 11 and Treay Jamison chipped in 10 points for the Greyhounds. Sasser completed the double-double with a game-high 10 rebounds while Shaheed Halk dished out 5 assists.
The Greyhounds play their next four games on the road beginning with Saturday's NJCAA Region 2 contest with North Arkansas College in Harrison at 2:00pm. They return to The Dog House Monday, January 28, at 6:00pm against Northwest Mississippi Community College in a home stand that sees the Greyhounds play 9 of their final 10 games at home.
