Holding a 40-31 halftime lead that stretched to 14 points early in the second half, the Greyhounds suddenly went ice cold with 24.3% field goal shooting, 10.5% beyond the arc and an underwhelming 50% from the free throw line. They managed only 25 second half points as they hit for a season-low 19 field goals for the game and were an anemic 19.4% on 6-for-31 shooting from the 3-point line.
Ike Moore scored 12 points to lead ASU Mid-South, and Zach Byrd was the only other Greyhound in double-figures as he finished with 11 points and game-highs of 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Christian White pulled down 11 boards to go with 9 points.
The Greyhounds return to The Dog House with a Thursday matchup with West Kentucky. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00pm.
