ASU Mid-South (21-8) honored sophomores Shaheed Halk, Caleb Henry and Kamron Rose at halftime after Jalen Lynn did the damage early, scoring 15 of his 27 points in the first half. But Lynn's four second-half three-pointers combined with Kamron Rose's 13 second-half points helped put the game away in the final frame.
Rose, in only his fourth game back from injury, finished with 19 points and a game-high 14 rebounds while Halk finished with 10 points and shared high-assist honors with Zach Byrd and Brien Kimmons who had 5 each.
The Greyhounds shot 52% from the field and 60% from the three-point line while connecting on 100% (8-of-8) from the free throw line. They also won the battle of the boards 55-32 and held the Mustangs to 35% shooting from the field.
Next up is the NJCAA Region 2 Championship Game Saturday at 1:00pm as the Greyhounds host North Arkansas College. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students, and the game will be live-streamed on NJCAA TV featuring the Voice of the Greyhounds, Mark McClellan.
