Greyhounds Too Much For Pioneers
Every time ASU Mid-South and North Arkansas get together, it always seems to be a hard fought game. The Greyhounds traveled to Pioneer Pavilion and would get revenge from their 83-79 loss at home earlier this season defeating the Pioneers 105-85.

"That was just beautiful to watch. Our guys competed, they executed very well, and they played extremely confident all night. 34 assists on 41 made field goals? Talk about sharing the sugar. I couldn't be more proud of these guys for coming in here with nothing on their mind but to take care of business. We'll enjoy this one on this long bus ride back, but we have to work to do to get ready for South Ark coming in for the last home game for these sophomores. It's going to be an emotional day for me, and I know it will be for these 5 guys that have put more than what we could ever ask for into this program. But we'll have to focus, and get ready for a very talented team coming in." head coach Cody Hastings had to say after the game.
In a game that started a little sloppy, the Greyhounds settled in and never looked back. The Pioneers would tie the game at 2, but once the Greyhounds regained the lead that was as close as the Pioneers would get as the Greyhounds spent majority of the game leading by double digits. The Greyhounds would find themselves in a bit of foul trouble as their 3 big guys and Jesse Washington picked up 2 fouls in the first half. It didn't slow them down as they would take as big of a lead as 18 in the first half, but would only take a 15 point lead going into intermission as they would lead 55-40 at halftime. The Pioneers came out hot to start the 2nd half and would cut the Greyhounds lead to just 8. The Greyhounds responded pushing the lead quickly back to double figures and keeping it their for the remainder of the game before taking a 27 point lead in the 2nd half.
ASU Mid-South had 6 guys score in double figures with Jesse Washington and Je'Marion Westbrook leading the way with 22 a piece. Washington also pulled down a game high 8 rebounds. Chris Martin collected his first double double as a Greyhound scoring 12 points and dishing out 10 assists. Kyrin Dock also scored 12 points and just missed a double double of his own as he finished with 9 assists. Davonta Tucker scored 13, Darren Wallace with 12, and Samuel Chapin with 8.
The Greyhounds welcome South Arkansas into The Dog House on Thursday, February 22nd for Sophomore Day. The sophomore's will be honored after the women's game before the men's game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30.
