Coach Montgomery enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Greyhounds.

Dee is no stranger to ASU Mid-South, as he comes back to his alma mater where he played from 2016-2018. As a freshman for the Greyhounds, he averaged 11.7 points per game while shooting 36.6% from 3. On March 4, 2017, Dee would score 37 points against North Arkansas College to secure the Region 2 Championship. As a Sophomore, Dee would average 15.2 points per game while shooting 36.5% from 3. He would go on to lead the Greyhounds to an 29-6 record, as well as finishing 5th at the National Tournament, which is still the best season in school history. He would also become the first ever NJCAA All-American in school history. He also won the Fred Pohlman National Sportsmanship Award. Once the season ended, Dee earned the nomination to the National Junior College All-Star game held in Las Vegas.

After his time at ASU Mid-South, Montgomery would go on to Purdue Fort Wayne where he started 18 of 33 games, scoring a season high of 18 against Earlham. He would then go on to transfer to University of Indianopolis to finish out his career. Dee would start 48 of 51 games averaging 11.6 points a game while shooting 34.3% for his career with the Greyhounds. He would earn All-GLVC Second Team in 2020-21. 

Coach Montgomery would go on to play for CD Universidad Catolica for one season in Chile. While there, he would average 12 points a game while shooting 40% from 3, and dishing out 3 assists per game. He was named MVP of the week 3 times.

Dee got his Bachelor's Degree in General Studies with a Minor in Business at UIndy. He is also a Success Coach on campus.
