After winning two games in Harrison on Friday and Saturday, ASU Mid-South showed signs of fatigue as the first half wore on after leading by 7 points early and losing the lead late thanks to 22 first-half turnovers. In the second half, the Greyhounds came out of the gate to even the score in what would be a fight to the finish. As the half progressed, however, the hosts found themselves down both forwards as K.J. Patrick and Trevor Banks both fouled out.
The Greyhounds shot the ball better from the field (48.9% to 46.7%) and three-point line (58.8% to 16.7%) while outrebounding the Rangers 37-29, but 34 turnovers to the visitor's 21 ended up being the deciding statistic. Terrandus Smith led the Greyhounds with 14 points while Dee Montgomery and Laquentin Miles scored 13 points each. Kamron Rose scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the young season.
The Greyhounds next head to St. Louis, Missouri, for two games this weekend before returning to The Dog House Thursday, November 30, to play Itawamba Community College in a double-header. The women tipoff the action at 5:30pm followed by the men at 7:30pm.
