Bio
Earning a starting spot early in the year, Banks finished his freshman campaign averaging 9.0 points and 6.4 rebounds whle shooting nearly 55% from the field and 40% from the three-point line. He had high games of 27 points and 14 rebounds and scored in double figures 12 times.
Banks briefly attended Motlow State Community College in Smyrna, Tennessee, to play basketball before a leg injury forced him to withdraw and return home. After surgery and months of rehabilitation, Banks continued working on his game while taking classes at Northwest Mississippi Community College. Now healthy, Banks looks to continue a promising career with three years of eligibility remaining.
Graduating from Senatobia High School in Senatobia, Mississippi in 2014, Banks earned First Team 4A Region 2 honors while averaging 15 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocked shots per game. The team captain also shot 52% from the field and 34% from the three-point line for head coach Justin Neely.
