The Greyhounds found themselves down early as St. Louis had the hot hand, but ASU Mid-South fought their way back into it and tied the game 31-31 on a steal and bucket at the buzzer.
After trading baskets the first few minutes of the second half, the Greyhounds turned up the heat on both sides of the ball, getting 21 points off turnovers for the game and shooting 53% from the field in the second half.
Dee Montgomery came up big, finishing with 21 points while hitting 3-of-5 from the three-point line and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. K.J. Patrick scored 12 points to go with 6 boards, and Trevor Banks finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Greyhounds enter the Thanksgiving holidays with a 5-2 record and return to action Thursday, November 30, as they host Itawamba Community College in a doubleheader with the women at The Dog House. The Lady Greyhounds start the action at 5:30pm followed by the men at 7:30pm.
