Displaying a wealth of offensive options, the Greyhounds' unselfishness resulted in 47 assists, breaking the previous record of 39 set last season against West Kentucky while putting seven players in double-figures and finishing just three points shy of the team record for points in a game. The final score of 139-47 was the largest margin of victory in school history, with the 92-point spread breaking the previous record of 90 set last November against Champion Christian College. ASU Mid-South shot 64.4% from the field, 55.6% from the three-point line and 94.7% from the free throw line (18-for-19) while limiting Crowley's Ridge to 25.4% shooting and dominating the boards 68-20.
Jalen Lynn was a picture of efficiency, leading the way with 25 points in only 22 minutes whilte shooting 10-of-11 on the night. Zach Byrd finished with 20 points, Garret Finley scored 19 and Ike Moore finished with 16 points and a game-high 9 assists to round out the starting lineup. Off the bench, Jarius Sharp scored 14, Christian White finished with 13 and Monroe Carr added 10 points. Jared Smith led the rebounding effort with 11, his first double-figure rebounding effort of the season, and he and Lynn both added 8 assists each.
The Greyhounds now turn their attention to the Fairfield Inn Classic in Quincy, Illinois, where they take on host John Wood Community College Friday at 7:00pm and Black Hawk-Moline Saturday at 1:00pm. John Wood Community College is ranked #14 in the NJCAA Preseason Poll and will be the second ranked team the Greyhounds have played this season after defeating #7 Parkland College 67-56 in Saturday's Greyhound Tipoff Classic finale.
