Taking a 60-25 halftime lead, ASU Mid-South then cruised in the second half for the victory. The Greyhounds shot 50.0% from the field, 45% from the three-point line and 68.8% from the free throw line while holding the Colts to 34.3% from the field and 23.8% from the arc.
Jalen Lynn led the way with 18 points, but it was Christian White and Zach Byrd who helped control the inside as both finished with double-doubles. White registered 12 points and 13 rebounds while Byrd tallied 11 points and 10 boards as the Greyhounds took a 63-31 rebounding advantage. Garret Finley finished with 16 points including 2-for-2 from the 3-point line, Ike Moore scored 15 points to go with 8 rebounds, Zyon Patterson hit for 11 points, and J.T. Smith finished with a game-high 7 assists.
The Greyhounds (10-3) next travel to National Park College in Hot Springs Saturday to begin the busiest portion of their schedule where they play 11 games in 24 days including 7 of their first 9 games on the road. They Greyhounds play three games per week for three weeks in a row to close out January before a more favorable February schedule sees them return to The Dog House for 8 of their final 9 games.
