Leading 45-43 at the half, the Greyhounds battled the first few minutes of the second half to hold their advantage, leading 55-53 around the 13:30 mark. Christian White then scored on a nice move in the paint to start the run, and then hit his first career three-pointer off the glass with the shot clock running down to stretch the lead to 8 points with 11:37 to go. Kevin Fulton then added consecutive three-pointers, Kylon McCullough added a trey, J.T. Smith snuck inside for a quick bucket, and McCullough hit another three-pointer at the 8:15 mark to give the Greyhounds a 19-point lead, 76-57, and the Nighthawks never threatened the rest of the way.
Kevin Fulton and Christian White led the way for the Greyhounds with 18 points each while Kylon McCullough scored 11 points. Zach Byrd helped the Greyhounds dominate the boards, 36-23, with a game-high 9 rebounds as he and Jarius Sharp scored 9 points each, and J.T. Smith dished out a game-high 8 assists to go with 8 points. Jalen Lynn, the Greyhounds' leading scorer, did not play due to illness.
ASU Mid-South (20-5) is currently ranked #20 in the latest NJCAA National Rankings and has now won 20 games for the fourth consecutive season. The Greyhounds next host the Three Rivers College Raiders (16-10) Monday in a doubleheader with the women tipping off at 5:30pm followed by the men at 7:30pm. The Greyhounds have now won nine games in a row with their last loss coming to the Raiders who came out with an 81-74 decision on January 15 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
