Bio

After leading the NJCAA Region 2 Champions in scoring as a freshman, Smith looks to pick up where he left off after averaging nearly 15 points and over 4 rebounds per game while shooting 35% from the three-point line and an outstanding 85.1% from the free throw line. He scored over 20 points eight times as a freshman with a high of 35 points against Northeast Mississippi and scored 31 points in an upset win over Northwest Mississippi.

Smith helped lead the Tennessee Class AA Hawks to a 24-2 record as they won their first 23 games in a row and were ranked #1 in the state until losing in the 14-AA Tournament championship game and took their only other loss in the Region 7 Tournament semifinals.

The ultra-athletic guard led the team in scoring and averaged 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 3.1 steals per game and was named to the 14-AA All-District team, All-Academic team and Tennessee Prep Hoops 7AA All-Region team for head coach Damonn Fuller. In addition, he was selected as Jackson South Side's Male Athlete of the Year after also earning All-District honors on the baseball field. Following the season, Smith was selected to play in the prestigious Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee East-West All-Star Game as one of the top seniors in the state, as well as playing in the West Tennessee All-Star Game held in the summer.

As a sophomore, Smith was a member of the 2014 State Championship team at South Side along with his older brother and current teammate, Terrikous Smith, as well as University of Arkansas guard Jaylen Barford.
